I don’t really understand what “Thrives more Attention” means but I get the gist.
The word vulgar can be defined as, “lacking sophistication or good taste” or “making explicit and offensive reference to sex or bodily functions”. But what people consider vulgar is influenced by cultural, religious and moral beliefs and it goes without saying is very subjective.
For example, I was brought up in Canada. My parents taught me to always chew my food with my mouth closed: a common custom in North America. If I saw someone chewing his food with his mouth open and having a conversation at the same time, to me, that showed a real lack of sophistication and I thought it was quite vulgar.
But then I moved to Japan.
This act of eating with your mouth open while talking to your friend is actually culturally acceptable here, so you just have to accept it.
